Fall is a magical time at Antler Ridge, a Colorado Barn Wedding Venue, located just 60 miles from Telluride and Grand Junction Co. ! Fall Weddings are hard to beat with vibrant colors, crisp air, stunning natural backdrops and the sound of our bugling bull elk. But some of the most captivating elements of a fall wedding is undoubtedly the flowers! As the leaves change and the world transforms into a canvas of warm hues, couples have the perfect opportunity to incorporate the beauty of the changing season into their floral arrangements. Here are some ideas and inspirations for choosing the perfect fall wedding flowers. Consider some of these Fall Wedding Flowers for your perfect Fall Wedding Arrangements at Antler Ridge Weddings. Combining a mix of seasonal flowers like sunflowers, dahlias, chrysanthemums, roses, and asters, you can craft a stunning autumn bouquet, wedding arch or center pieces. Embrace the Warm Tones Autumn is famous for its vibrant and warm color scheme. Picture shades like deep reds, burnt oranges, golden yellows, and earthy browns. When choosing flowers, opt for types that embody these hues. Here are a few top picks: - Roses:  Opt for deep red or orange varieties to add a romantic touch. - Chrysanthemums: Available in various colors, these blooms are perfect for creating texture and depth. - Dahlias: These stunning flowers come in a range of colors, making them a versatile choice for fall arrangements. - Sunflowers:  Bright and cheerful, sunflowers can add a sunny vibe to your autumn wedding. Incorporating Seasonal Foliage Remember to incorporate seasonal foliage along with flowers. Fall aspen leaves and greenery can enhance the beauty of your floral displays. To create a more rustic look, you can add natural elements like berries, wheat, or eucalyptus to your bouquet. Here are some excellent choices: - Aspen Leaves:  Their vibrant reds and oranges and yellows can add a striking accent. - Eucalyptus:  With its soft green and silver tones, eucalyptus provides a lovely contrast and a calming element. - Ferns:  Their delicate fronds can introduce a touch of elegance and softness. Unique Floral Choices for Fall While traditional blooms are always a hit, consider incorporating some unique options that embody the spirit of fall: - Amaranthus:  This cascading flower adds drama and texture to arrangements. - Berries:  Incorporating seasonal berries like hypericum or viburnum can add pops of color and interest. - Thistles:  Their unique shape and color can add an unexpected twist to your floral design. Textures and Layers Fall is a time of transition, and incorporating different textures into your floral arrangements can reflect that. Mixing soft petals with sturdy branches or combining smooth berries with fluffy blooms can create a visually stunning effect. Consider using elements like: - Dried Flowers and Antlers:  Pampas grass and dried lavender can add an earthy, rustic touch. Or even incorporate antlers! In addition, you can wrap the bouquet with burlap or twine to enhance the rustic feel. If you're looking for centerpiece inspiration, consider using a rustic wooden box, a mason jar, or a copper vase as the foundation. Fill the chosen container with a mix of fall blooms and foliage such as sunflowers, dahlias, roses, and autumn leaves. Enhance the arrangement by incorporating candles or votives to evoke the essence of Fall. Alternatively, you could opt for a centerpiece crafted from a hollowed-out pumpkin or gourd. Utilizing the pumpkin or gourd as a unique vase for autumn flowers! Lucky for Antler Ridge, we are locally owned and operated wedding venue and work closely with our vendors! We were able to call up of friend, Stephani, at Alpine Foral and ask her about the upcoming fall wedding season. Stephani loves doing arrangements for wedding at Antler Ridge and this is what she had to say. "Fall 2024 floral trends are a hot topic! At Alpine Floral we love using rich burgundy tones and rust oranges for fall weddings. This year small to medium sized bouquets with a flowing organic style have been popular as well as more focus on the ceremony flowers such as aisle décor and arbor pieces. • Is it Appropriate to Invite Kids to Weddings?

Grand Junction Wedding Venue discusses the pros and cons of this the tricky subject. Is is Appropriate to Invite Kids to a Wedding? Planning a wedding is an exciting time, but it also comes with its fair share of challenges. One of the most delicate topics that many engaged couples face is whether or not to allow children at their wedding. Opting for a more adult-only affair is perfectly acceptable. If you fall into this category and are unsure of how to communicate this to your guests, fear not! In this blog, we will explore some helpful tips on how to let your wedding guests know that children are not invited in a friendly way. The first step in addressing this issue is to make sure that your invitations are crystal clear about who is invited to the wedding. Be specific and list out only the names of those whom you want to invite. Be careful not to use ambiguous language such as “and family” or “plus guest,” as this can lead to confusion. You can also include a note on the RSVP card or wedding website indicating that the event is adults-only. Being specific will help avoid any misunderstandings later on. Next, consider reaching out personally to any guests who may be affected by this decision. Close family members may just automatically assume children are invited. A phone call or face-to-face conversation can go a long way in explaining your reasoning behind wanting an adults-only celebration. Expressing your reasoning is important, but you should also share your excitement for them to still be a part of your big day. Providing alternative childcare options during the wedding festivities may be an alternative plan if you think you will be receiving lots of pushback about your no-kids policy. You could suggest local babysitting services or create a designated kids’ area at the venue where parents can drop off their children with supervision. When it comes time to inform your guests about the no-kids rule, do so with kindness and sensitivity. Provide a polite note in your invitations explaining your decision and thanking them for understanding. Remember that ultimately, it is your day, and you have every right to set boundaries that make you feel comfortable and happy. Most guests will respect your wishes without question. Thank you so much for stopping by our blog, we hope you found this information helpful. We want to use our blog to increase awareness and support for locally owned wedding venues. • Plan Your Western Colorado Dream Wedding, In Just Six Months !

How to Plan a Wedding in Under 6 Months Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, but it can be even more overwhelming when you have a shorter timeline to work with. If you have decided to get married sooner than expected or simply do not want to wait another year, planning a Western Colorado Dream Wedding in Six months is entirely doable. This blog will provide you with some tips and tricks on how to plan a beautiful wedding in 6 months. Prioritizing your wedding plans should be the first thing to do by making a checklist of the most important aspects of your wedding day with your partner. You both will have to decide what parts are non-negotiable and where you’re willing to compromise. Prioritizing will help you focus on the most crucial tasks first, thus avoiding getting frustrated by all the smaller details. Making decisions relatively quickly will be important and will help with your shortened timeline. So, pick a date or a range of dates, be flexible, set your budget, and figure out your guest list. Sticking to a budget is very important. With less time to plan, it’s essential to know exactly how much you can spend on each aspect of your big day. As a couple, you should decide what is most important to both of you – whether it’s the venue, catering, or entertainment – and then allocate your budget accordingly. Your budget should include all the hidden costs such as taxes, gratuities, and alterations. Now that you have established your priorities and set a budget, start booking vendors as soon as possible. Time is of the essence, so don’t hesitate to reach out to multiple vendors at once for availability and quotes. Only consider the venues that meet your budget and your priorities. Be prepared with specific questions about their services. Remember to be flexible with your dates because some popular venues may already be booked up for dates within the next 6 months. When planning a wedding in under 6 months, consider simplifying certain aspects of the day. Opt for a venue that provides a weekend package, where you can do the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and all your decorating the day before. The weekend package will be less stressful and will allow you to enjoy every minute of your wedding. Choose pre-designed invitations or digital RSVPs instead of custom-made stationery. Keeping your decorations simple or buying items from another bride can save money and time. Use items that are readily available at local stores rather than ordering specialty items online. Simple can be elegant. Lastly, don’t stress and be sure to take time to care for yourself. Planning a wedding can be stressful even without time constraints. Rely on friends and family for support. Being able to delegate, when possible, will be very important. Pick people you know and trust and who will follow through with their given assignments. People in charge need to be responsible. But during this process, remember the most important thing is celebrating your love with those closest to you. Prioritizing all your dreams is important! So, if sunsets, photo opportunities, a rustic elegant barn, a bridal suite, beautiful spacious lawns, mountain views, ponds are on your list then Antler Ridge is the venue for you! Antler Ridge also has a weekend wedding package that reduces the stress of your wedding day. This package offers you the opportunity to come in the day before and do set up, decorate and have your rehearsal all in one place. You and your bridesmaids can stay the night in the 3-bedroom bridal suite. Your wedding day at Antler Ridge is just a day of getting ready and taking your post-ceremony photos. Don't worry about decorating, the grounds and mountain views do the decorating for you. Just add a simple centerpiece on the tables and the rustic elegant barn says the rest. Antler Ridge is located near Grand Junction, on the western slope of Colorado, and the vendors in our area go over the top to make your wedding day stress-free. We offer a weekday package that is budget-friendly as well. At Antler Ridge, we have a preferred vendors list for you to choose from, so it saves you time trying to choose just the right vendors. Time is of the essence! If after reading this blog, you still want to get married within six months but are feeling unsure, we can help you find just the right event planner. They love organizing, and it's a great way to start your wedding journey. Planning a wedding in under 6 months may seem like an impossible task at first glance, but with careful prioritization, budgeting, vendor selection, simplification of details, and self-care along the way – it can definitely be done! We would love for you to schedule a tour and learn about your wedding vision. Thank you so much for stopping by our blog; we hope you found this information helpful. First and foremost, don't stress! Of course, the couple is the focal point on any wedding day, but family is also important. Couples want those must-have wedding photos like the vows and the first look, but family photos are some of the most treasured. Try to get the most important photos done and let the extra "fun"shots be taken by guest phones . Candid pictures can be so fun! First, Focus on your VIP's. Family and those that are special to you. What if your parents are divorced or remarried? You will want to arrange for pictures with the individual families first; they should be put at the top of your list. You as a couple should then have pictures taken with each parent, including their new partner. If there are step-siblings, they could be included as well. Send the list to your photographer Wedding photographers use the photo list to coordinate post-ceremony photos quickly. Weddings are one of the few times all family members are in one place, and being prepared helps to save time. Send your photographer the family photo combinations you want to capture, giving each person's name and who they are. This will help move things along on the day of the wedding. The photographer can call them by name and always make the family have a more enjoyable experience. Each combination of photos takes anywhere from 60-90 seconds to set up and take. So plan on at least 20 minutes for family photos. It is recommended to do them before the ceremony! Discover Your Ideal top 8 Grand Junction Wedding Hairstyles and Unveil Your Perfect Look for 2025. Your wedding day at Antler Ridge Weddings is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and every detail counts—from the dress to the flowers to the hairstyle. Choosing the perfect wedding hairstyle can enhance your overall look and complement your dress and personal style. Whether you’re envisioning an elegant updo, romantic waves, or a bohemian braid. We have attended hundreds of weddings at Antler Ridge and are here to tell you about the most popular styles with the help from our friend and local owner of Salon Polished , Erin Liles. Classic Updos Brides often choose updos for a timeless and sophisticated look. Here are some popular styles to consider: - Chignon : The elegant low bun is a timeless hairstyle that complements formal weddings beautifully. It can be styled to look sleek and polished or given a slightly tousled appearance for a more casual feel. Accessorize it with a veil or ornamental hairpins to add a touch of sophistication. - French Twist : A French twist is an elegant hairstyle by a twisted bun positioned at the nape of the neck. It is an ideal choice for brides seeking a polished appearance. To add a romantic extra touch, the French twist can be embellished with flowers or pearls. - Braided Updo : Integrating braids into an updo enhances texture and creates visual appeal. Whether it's a braided crown or side braids, they can serve as a beautiful focal point while ensuring your hairstyle remains intact. Loose Waves For a more relaxed and romantic look, loose waves are a beautiful option. This style works well for both indoor and outdoor weddings and can be dressed up or down. - Beachy Waves : Perfect for a boho wedding, beachy waves exude a carefree vibe. Use a texturizing spray for added volume and a tousled finish. Consider adding a flower crown or a delicate hairpiece to enhance the bohemian feel. - Hollywood Glam Waves : For a touch of vintage elegance, opt for glamorous Hollywood waves. This style features soft, defined curls that cascade down the shoulders, creating a timeless and sophisticated look. Half-Up, Half-Down Styles Half-up, half-down hairstyles strike the perfect balance between elegance and ease. They allow you to showcase your hair while keeping it out of your face. - Half-Up Braid : A half-up braid adds a whimsical touch to your hairstyle. You can choose from simple braids to more intricate styles, such as fishtails or waterfall braids, to create a unique look. At Antler Ridge, we offer an ideal bridal suite where you can enjoy a fun time getting your hair and makeup done with your closest friends! • Ultimate Countdown: 10 Essential To-Dos 30 Days Before Your Colorado Wedding.

With only 30 days left until your wedding, there are a few things you will NOT want to miss. Now is the time to finalize the list. Here at Antler Ridge Weddings, located near Grand Junction Colorado on the western slope, we have witnessed many weddings. There are alot of essential To-Dos on the internet but these top 10 make up our Ultimate Countdown checklist of 10 tasks to tackle in these final weeks, making your dream wedding a reality. 1. Finalize Your Guest List Start by finalizing your guest list. This step not only helps for planning but also for getting an accurate count for your caterer and helping with your seating arrangements. Keep in mind that about 10% of invitees usually decline. If your original guest count is 150 , you might want to expect around 135 . At this timne you can send out your Rehearsal Dinner Invitations. Getting information about dietary restrictions for your guests is also important This consideration allows caterers to accommodate everyone. 2. Confirm Vendors Next, confirm all your vendors to ensure everyone is on the same page. The vendors typically include caterers, photographers, florists, and entertainment. A checklist for each vendor can keep all details organized, including the services they'll provide and their contact information. Send detailed shot list to photographer and videographer. Decide on what photos are most important to you. Do you want getting ready photos in the bridal suite, Are you considering a First Look, but the biggest part of the list is the family photos because they can take alot of time and organizing. Besure to add names because your photographer is not going to know everyone in the line up. The more organized you are with the family photos the faster you can start your party and start focusing on you and your partner . 3. Schedule Final Dress Fittings Schedule your final dress fitting to ensure it fits perfectly. Bring along any accessories you'll wear, such as your veil, shoes, and jewelry. Practice walking and sitting in your dress during the fitting. Gaining confidence and know you look amazing will help alleviate stress later. 4. Create a Wedding Day Timeline The Day of wedding time line is so important. The more detailed the timeline the smoother the day is going to go. It is essential! Make sure to share your timeline with your vendors, photographers, wedding party and so they know the specific times the different events will happen. Including a timeline for your guests is also a way to include them. There are many ways to do this at Antler Ridge Weddings we have seen a framed poster board with time of ceremony, cocktail hour and what drinks are available , dinner, first dance, etc displayed on an easel . One bride made a had her timeline on a wedding hand fan ( zazzle )that each guest was given on arrival. So be creative and have some fun! 5. Start the Seating Chart Seating charts can be challenging. Start by grouping individuals based on relationships and comfort levels. There are online seating chart tools that can help simplify the process. Having just the right seating chart will contribute to a more enjoyable reception for everyone so make sure you put some thought into this sometime complex project. 6. Plan Post-Wedding Activities While planning your wedding, don't overlook post-wedding activities. If you are planning a honeymoon , start packing your clothes, passports and your travel confirmations. Make sure your family , friends and bridal party know about your post-wedding plans. Maybe, you have decided on a post morning brunch or just a fun activity where all your out of town guests can join in. Just remember communication is important! 7. Schedule a Beauty Regimen With only a month left, treat yourelf to a facial and start a beauty regimen to look and feel your best. A good skincare routine is important. Include a daily regiment of cleansing, moisturizing, and sun protection keep. Additionally, schedule a trial run for your hair and makeup. Knowing how you will look will reduce anxiety and will add to your confidence on the actual day. 8. Prepare Emergency Kits Don't forget to put together an emergency kit for any little mishaps that may occur wedding day. Essential items include a sewing kit, stain remover, breath mints, tums, bobbi pins, band-aids,Q-tips and extra makeup and fashion tape just to help keep everything in place. Having a wedding kit is all about being prepared. Now, all you have to do is assign a bridesmaid or family member to be in charge and you are one step closer to checking off all the essential items . 9. Enjoy Some Relaxation Time Finally, with all the excitement and anticipation of you wedding day , don't forget to make time for yourself. Recharging is important for you mind and body. Try going to a movie with a friend , or try a spa or better yet take a long walk and listen to your favorite music. Just have some alone time might just be what you need as the coming days will be filled with anticipating the beautuful days ahead. 10. The Count Down Remember being organized in these last 30 days before your wedding will make for a smooth celebration. Preparing for these final days are going to keep you busy but each completed task is a step closer to your special day. Enjoy every moment !
